Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CD66b concentration was determined to be 717.64 pg/mL with a range of 356.71 – 1,292.71 pg/mL.

Interpolated concentrations of native CD66b in human PBMC supernatant samples.

Stimulated samples were treated with 1.5% PHA-M for 46 hours. The concentrations of CD66b were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CD66b standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : stimulated PBMC supernatant 100% and unstimulated PBMC supernatant 100%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CD66b concentration was determined to be 263.55 pg/mL in stimulated PBMC supernatant and 151.03 pg/mL in unstimulated PBMC supernatant.

The concentrations of CD66b were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CD66b standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 50%, plasma (citrate) 50%, plasma (heparin) 50%, and plasma (EDTA) 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CD66b concentration was determined to be 802.67 pg/mL in serum, 833.01 pg/mL in plasma (citrate), 1,208.45 pg/mL in plasma (heparin), and 531.15 pg/mL in plasma (EDTA).

Human CD66b ELISA kit (ab282869) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human CD66b protein in human serum, plasma, and cell culture supernatant samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate CD66b with 3.93 pg/mL sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. CD66b is a cell surface glycoprotein involved in cell adhesion, cell migration and pathogen binding. It is a member of the CEA superfamily of immunoglobulins. CD66b is exclusively expressed on granulocytes. Soluble CD66b is released in response to bacterial DNA.

CD66b also known as carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 8 (CEACAM8) is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight around 95 kDa. It is primarily expressed on the surface of granulocytes specifically on neutrophils—its expression on these cells makes it a useful marker in distinguishing stages of granulocyte maturation. The protein localizes to the cell membrane and serves as a cell adhesion molecule playing roles in intercellular interactions. Researchers often use CD66b-specific antibodies such as CD66b FITC for detecting and analyzing neutrophil populations commonly in flow cytometry applications.
