Interpolated concentration of native CTGF was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 10%, plasma (citrate) 5%, plasma (heparin) 5%, and plasma (EDTA) 10%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent 25BP.

Serum of eight individual healthy human donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CTGF concentration was determined to be 18.8 ng/mL with a range of 11.32 – 25.5 ng/mL.

How the assay works

Human CTGF ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab325620) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colormetric ELISAs.

Target data

Major connective tissue mitoattractant secreted by vascular endothelial cells. Promotes proliferation and differentiation of chondrocytes. Is involved in the stimulation of osteoblast differentiation and has a critical role in osteogenesis (PubMed : 39414788). Mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. Enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis.
