Human CYR61 ELISA Kit (ab238267) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of CYR61 protein in cell culture extracts, cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, milk, saliva, serum, tissue extracts, and urine. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human CYR61 with 5 pg/ml sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:

CYR61 also known as CCN1 is a secreted protein involved in cell signaling. It belongs to the CCN family of proteins and weighs approximately 42 kDa. This protein is found in various tissues including the skin lungs and blood vessels. CYR61 is involved in cellular activities such as adhesion migration and proliferation by interacting with cell surface receptors. Appears to play a role in wound healing by up-regulating, in skin fibroblasts, the expression of a number of genes involved in angiogenesis, inflammation and matrix remodeling including VEGA-A, VEGA-C, MMP1, MMP3, TIMP1, uPA, PAI-1 and integrins alpha-3 and alpha-5. CCN1-mediated gene regulation is dependent on heparin-binding. Down-regulates the expression of alpha-1 and alpha-2 subunits of collagen type-1.
