Interpolated concentrations of native Dystrophin in human HepG2 cell extract and mouse heart homogenate extract based on 250 µg/mL and 500 µg/mL extract loads respectively.

The concentrations of Dystrophin were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the Dystrophin standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD n=2). The mean Dystrophin concentration was determined to be 2365.64 pg/mL in HepG2 extract and 1273.63 pg/mL in mouse heart homogenate extract.

Human Dystrophin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab326397) is a rapid single-wash sandwich 55-min ELISA to measure Human Dystrophin in Cell Lysate, Tissue Extracts with a sensitivity of 9.91 pg/mL.

How the assay works

Human Dystrophin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab326397) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colorimetric ELISAs.

Human Dystrophin (ab326397) protocol summary

Target data

Anchors the extracellular matrix to the cytoskeleton via F-actin. Ligand for dystroglycan. Component of the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex which accumulates at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) and at a variety of synapses in the peripheral and central nervous systems and has a structural function in stabilizing the sarcolemma. Also implicated in signaling events and synaptic transmission.
