Serum of eight individual healthy human Female donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Ferritin Light Chain concentration was determined to be 55.6 ng/mL with a range of 2.1 – 210.4 ng/mL.

Interpolated concentration of native Ferritin Light Chain was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : urine 50%, milk 12.5%, saliva 50%, and untreated PBMC cell culture supernatant 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Human Ferritin Light Chain SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Ferritin Light Chain protein in Serum, EDTA Plasma, Cit Plasma, Hep Plasma, Urine, Milk, Saliva, Cell culture supernatant. Quantitate Human Ferritin Light Chain with 6.076 pg/ml sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Target data

Stores iron in a soluble, non-toxic, readily available form. Important for iron homeostasis. Iron is taken up in the ferrous form and deposited as ferric hydroxides after oxidation. Also plays a role in delivery of iron to cells. Mediates iron uptake in capsule cells of the developing kidney (By similarity). Delivery to lysosomes by the cargo receptor NCOA4 for autophagic degradation and release or iron (PubMed : 24695223).
