Interpolated concentrations of human Fibulin 1 in serum, plasma (citrate), plasma (EDTA), and plasma (heparin).

Interpolated concentration of native Fibulin 1 was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 1 : 3,200, plasma (citrate) 1 : 3,200, plasma (EDTA) 1 : 1,600, and plasma (heparin) 1 : 1,600. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS + 1X Enhancer.

Product details

Human Fibulin 1 ELISA kit (ab287169) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human Fibulin 1 protein in human serum and plasma samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human Fibulin 1 with 1.49 ng/mL sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:

-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples

Target data

Incorporated into fibronectin-containing matrix fibers. May play a role in cell adhesion and migration along protein fibers within the extracellular matrix (ECM). Could be important for certain developmental processes and contribute to the supramolecular organization of ECM architecture, in particular to those of basement membranes. Has been implicated in a role in cellular transformation and tumor invasion, it appears to be a tumor suppressor. May play a role in haemostasis and thrombosis owing to its ability to bind fibrinogen and incorporate into clots. Could play a significant role in modulating the neurotrophic activities of APP, particularly soluble APP.
