Product details
Human GASP-1 ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of GASP-1 in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.
This assay employs an antibody specific for human GASP-1 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and GASP-1 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human GASP-1 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of GASP-1 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.
Cross Reactivity: This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: human ACE-2, aFGF, Albumin, AMICA, Angiopoietin-4, BAFF, CA19-9, CD163, Clusterin, CRTAM, CXCL14, Cystatin C, Decorin, Dkk-3, DLL1, Fetuin A, FOLR1, Furin, GASP-2, GCSF R, HAI-2, IL-17 RB, IL-27, LAG-3, LDL R, Pepsinogen 1, RANK, RBP4, SOST, Syndecan-1, TACI, TFPI, Thrombospondin 1, TRAIL R2, TRANCE, Troponin I, uPA, VECadherin, WISP-1.

Biological function summary
GPRASP1 plays a role in the modulation of receptor signaling by aiding in the internalization and degradation of target receptors. It functions as a part of a larger protein complex involved in receptor sorting. In the central nervous system GPRASP1 affects synaptic plasticity impacting neurological communication and receptor desensitization. This interaction highlights its regulatory influence on receptor fate after ligand binding.
Pathways
Signaling processes involve GPRASP1 particularly in the GPCR signaling pathways. GPRASP1 collaborates with proteins like beta-arrestins to mediate receptor internalization and trafficking. This protein also connects to the ubiquitination pathway by interacting with E3 ubiquitin ligases which tag receptors for degradation. These pathways demonstrate GPRASP1's pivotal position in cellular communication and receptor lifecycle management.
