Product details
The Human HDHD2 ELISA Kit (ab284005) is designed for detection of HDHD2 in human CSF and cell lysate samples.
This assay employs a quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique that measures human HDHD2 in approximately 4 hours. A polyclonal antibody specific for human HDHD2 has been pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate with removable strips. HDHD2 in standards and samples is sandwiched by the immobilized antibody and biotinylated polyclonal antibody specific for human HDHD2, which is recognized by a streptavidin-peroxidase (SP) conjugate. All unbound material is washed away and a peroxidase enzyme substrate is added. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Biological function summary
HDHD2 hydrolyzes phosphoserines and plays an essential role in dephosphorylation processes. It is a component of protein complexes that control phosphorylation states within cells directly affecting protein functions. Through these actions HDHD2 influences cellular signaling and metabolism contributing to physiological processes such as enzyme regulation and substrate modification.
Pathways
HDHD2 participates in signaling pathways related to phosphate metabolism and energy balance. It is related to the energy production pathway and the regulation of cellular signaling cascades. This protein interacts with other enzymes like PPARG and PTPMT1 coordinating the maintenance of phosphate balance across cellular compartments.
