Sandwich ELISA - Human IL-2 Receptor alpha ELISA Kit (AB283543)
Interpolated concentrations of native IL-2 Receptor alpha in human cell culture supernatant samples.
Samples are cultured in 10F RPMI. 1.5% PHA (M form) is added to treated cells and vehicle is added to the control and incubated for 36 hours. The concentrations of IL-2 Receptor alpha were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the IL-2 Receptor alpha standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : Vehicle treated PBMC cell culture supernatant 100% and PHA treated PBMC cell culture supernatant 5%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean IL-2 Receptor alpha concentration was determined to be 84.91 pg/mL in Vehicle treated PBMC Supernatant, 9819.04 pg/mL in PHA treated PBMC Supernatant.

Sandwich ELISA - Human IL-2 Receptor alpha ELISA Kit (AB283543)
Interpolated concentrations of native IL-2 Receptor alpha in human serum and plasma samples.
The concentrations of IL-2 Receptor alpha were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the IL-2 Receptor alpha standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 20%, plasma (citrate) 20%, plasma (EDTA) 20%, and plasma (heparin) 20%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean IL-2 Receptor alpha concentration was determined to be 1971.86 pg/mL in serum, 1819.00 pg/mL in plasma (citrate), 1584.71 pg/mL in plasma (EDTA) and 1853.25 pg/mL in plasma (heparin).

Product details
Human IL-2 Receptor alpha ELISA kit (ab272199) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human IL-2 Receptor alpha protein in human serum, plasma and cell culturesupernatant. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human IL-2 Receptor alpha with 1.12 pg/mL sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples
-96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.
Human IL-2 Receptor alpha is a 55 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein. The protein standard for this ELISA was designed on the extracellular fragment of the IL-2 Receptor alpha glycoprotein. IL-2 Receptor alpha is a receptor for interleukin-2 (IL-2) and is involved in the regulation of immune tolerance by controlling regulatory T cells (TREGs) activity. TREGs suppress the activation and expansion of autoreactive T-cells. Human IL-2 Receptor alpha shares 57.7%, 58.4%, 51.6%, and 91.3% sequence homology with mouse, rat, cow, and monkey, respectively.
