Interpolated concentration of native alpha 1 Sodium Potassium ATPase was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations in human cortex tissue extract in 96-well vs. 384-well plates. Undiluted samples are human cortex tissue extract 10 ug/mL. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in 1X Cell Extraction Buffer SSW.

Specificity and interference testing of human/mouse alpha 1 Sodium Potassium ATPase SimpleStep ELISA kit. 2,500 pg/mL of human (Hu) ATP1A1and Mouse (Ms) ATP1A1 were tested individually for species reactivity. 50 ng/mL each of recombinant mouse (Ms) ATP1A2, ATP1A3, and ATP1A4 were individually tested for specificity, and for interference in combination with 2,500 pg/mL of recombinant mouse ATP1A1. The interpolated values, expressed in % of input (for specificity) or in % of mouse ATP1A1 control (for interference), are plotted (mean +/- SD, n =2). No cross-reactivity or interference was observed with ATP1A2, ATP1A3, and ATP1A4.

Target data

This is the catalytic component of the active enzyme, which catalyzes the hydrolysis of ATP coupled with the exchange of sodium and potassium ions across the plasma membrane. This action creates the electrochemical gradient of sodium and potassium ions, providing the energy for active transport of various nutrients (By similarity). Could also be part of an osmosensory signaling pathway that senses body-fluid sodium levels and controls salt intake behavior as well as voluntary water intake to regulate sodium homeostasis (PubMed : 17408578).
