Interpolated concentrations of native OLFM4 in human serum and plasma samples.

The concentrations of OLFM4 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the OLFM4 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 100% and plasma (citrate) 100%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean OLFM4 concentration was determined to be 4,710 pg/mL in serum and 4,029 pg/mL in plasma (citrate).

The concentrations of OLFM4 were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the OLFM4 standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean OLFM4 concentration was determined to be 48,973 pg/mL in colon tissue extract.

How the assay works

Human OLFM4 ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab326735) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colorimetric ELISAs.

Human OLFM4 (ab326735) protocol summary

Target data

May promote proliferation of pancreatic cancer cells by favoring the transition from the S to G2/M phase. In myeloid leukemic cell lines, inhibits cell growth and induces cell differentiation and apoptosis. May play a role in the inhibition of EIF4EBP1 phosphorylation/deactivation. Facilitates cell adhesion, most probably through interaction with cell surface lectins and cadherin.
