Sandwich ELISA - Human PDGF-CC ELISA Kit (AB234568)
Interpolated concentrations of spiked PDGF-CC in human serum and plasma samples.
The concentrations of PDGF-CC were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the PDGF-CC standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 25% and platelet poor plasma (citrate) 12.5%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean PDGF-CC concentration was determined to be 1501.39 pg/mL in serum and 864.88 pg/mL in platelet poor plasma (citrate).

Product details
Human PDGF-CC ELISA Kit (ab234568) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of PDGF-CC protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human PDGF-CC with 2.79 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.

Biological function summary
PDGF-CC influences cell proliferation migration and survival particularly in the context of vascular development and remodeling. It acts as a powerful growth factor for mesenchymal cells and plays a role in embryonic development. PDGF-CC forms a functional complex after proteolytic activation which is essential for its receptor-binding capacity. This factor significantly regulates angiogenesis and wound healing processes.
Pathways
PDGF-CC is integral to the PDGF signaling pathway and is involved in the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. These pathways promote cellular growth survival and proliferation. PDGF-CC's interaction with PDGF receptors primarily PDGFRα facilitates these biological functions. In these pathways PDGF-CC interacts with other proteins such as PI3K and AKT connecting it to broader cellular response networks.
