Product details
Human Plexin D1 ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human Plexin D1 in serum, plasma (collect plasma using EDTA and Citrate as an anticoagulant. Heparin is not recommended as anticoagulants for use in this assay) and cell culture supernatants. This assay employs an antibody specific for human Plexin D1 coated on a 96-well plate.
This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: human AMIGO, Aminopeptidase LRAP (ERAP2), Amnionless, Arylsulfatase A, Bcl-w, CD109, CD157, CD34, CD83, CLEC1, CLEC10A (CD301), CMG-2, CREG, Cystatin SN, Cytokeratin-8, Dectin-1 (CLEC7A), Desmocollin-3, Endoglycan, Galectin-4, HAPLN1, Jagged 1, Langerin (CD207), Lumican, Matriptase (ST14), MEP1B, Nectin-3, OX40 (TNFRSF4), OX40 Ligand (TNFSF4), p27, Pappalysin2, Plexin B3, proGRP, PSA-total, Reg1B, RGM-A, ROBO2, Spinesin, TWEAK R (TNFRSF12), ULBP-3.

Biological function summary
Plexin D1 regulates cell movement and positioning by modulating cell adhesion and cytoskeletal rearrangement. As part of semaphorin signaling plexin D1 coordinates with other membrane proteins and signaling molecules to control processes like axon guidance and vascular patterning. It does not act alone but rather within a complex network of associated proteins that enhance its functional outcomes. Its involvement is important at the developmental stages especially within the nervous and vascular systems.
Pathways
The semaphorin-plexin signaling axis is where plexin D1 finds its significant role. It impacts the MAPK and PI3K pathways which are essential in controlling cellular responses to environmental cues. In these pathways it interacts with proteins such as Ras and Rho GTPases contributing to the regulation of cellular dynamics and survival. The interplay of plexin D1 with semaphorin 3E is particularly important for guiding cells in response to repulsive cues within the cellular environment.
