Interpolated concentration of native Reelin was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 50%, plasma (citrate) 50%, plasma (EDTA) 100%, and plasma (heparin) 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values to neat sample are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Human Reelin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab326003) is a rapid single-wash sandwich 55-min ELISA to measure Human Reelin in Serum, Citrate Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Heparin Plasma, Cell Extract with a sensitivity of 0.15 ng/mL.

How the assay works

Human Reelin ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab326003) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colorimetric ELISAs.

Human Reelin (ab326003) protocol summary

1. Mix : add samples / standards to the wells together with the capture and detector antibody cocktail. Incubate 30 min at room temperature
2. Wash
3. Add ChemiHRP development solution - incubate for 2 min
4. Read the results on a plate reader capable of luminescence detection

Target data

Extracellular matrix serine protease secreted by pioneer neurons that plays a role in layering of neurons in the cerebral cortex and cerebellum by coordinating cell positioning during neurodevelopment. Regulates microtubule function in neurons and neuronal migration. Binding to the extracellular domains of lipoprotein receptors VLDLR and LRP8/APOER2 induces tyrosine phosphorylation of DAB1 and modulation of TAU phosphorylation. Affects migration of sympathetic preganglionic neurons in the spinal cord, where it seems to act as a barrier to neuronal migration. Enzymatic activity is important for the modulation of cell adhesion.
