Product details
Human SREC-II ELISA kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human SREC-II in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants. This assay employs an antibody specific for human SREC-II coated on a 96-well plate.
This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: human ACE, Activin RIB (ALK-4), ADAM23, Artemin, Cardiotrophin1 (CT-1), Cathepsin V, FABP1 (L-FABP), FGF-20, GDF-8 (Myostatin), HAI-1, IL-27 R alpha (WSX-1), Insulin R (CD220), Kallikrein 7, LIF R alpha, Lipocalin-1, LTbR (Lymphotoxin beta R), Mesothelin, MFRP, Neuropilin-2, Neurturin, Nidogen-2, Olfactomedin-2 (Noelin-2), p53, PDECGF (Thymidine Phosphorylase), PDGF-CC, Progranulin, Ret, ROBO4, Semaphorin 6B, Serpin F1 (PEDF), SREC-I (SCARF1), TLR1, TLR3, TPP1 (Tripeptidyl-peptidase I), TREM-2, TrkC, TROY (TNFRSF19), Uromodulin, XIAP.

Biological function summary
Within the cellular context SCARF2 influences processes like lipid metabolism and immune response. While it functions mostly independently SCARF2 occasionally interacts with other scavenger receptors for efficient uptake of modified low-density lipoproteins. Its binding abilities connect it to cellular housekeeping and pathogen clearance roles contributing to maintenance of cellular homeostasis and defense mechanisms.
Pathways
Interactions involving SCARF2 influence lipid metabolism and immune signaling networks. It plays a role in lipid transport pathways where it potentially associates with proteins like CD36 which also bind lipoproteins. In immune pathways SCARF2 affects toll-like receptor signaling interacting indirectly with proteins such as TLR4 contributing to the modulation of inflammatory responses.
