Interpolated concentration of native Syntaxin 1B was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : 500 µg/mL SH-SY5Y cell extract, 0.5 µg/mL human cortex tissue extract, 5 µg/mL human brain stem tissue extract, and 1 µg/mL human hippocampus tissue extract. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in 1X Cell Extraction Buffer PTR.

Human Syntaxin 1B SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Syntaxin 1B protein in Cell Lysate, Tissue extracts. Quantitate Human Syntaxin 1B with 16.949 pg/ml sensitivity.

This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Syntaxin 1B often abbreviated as STX1B is an essential SNARE protein with a mass of approximately 33 kDa. This protein is mainly expressed in neurons and tissues with neural characteristics indicating its prominent role in the nervous system. Mechanically Syntaxin 1B facilitates the docking and fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. Through this mechanism it aids in the release of neurotransmitters which is fundamental for synaptic transmission and communication between neurons.
Biological function summary

This protein functions as a core component of the SNARE complex comprising Syntaxin 1B SNAP-25 and VAMP2. The formation of this complex brings the synaptic vesicle and presynaptic membrane into close proximity creating the condition for vesicle fusion.
