Interpolated concentrations of TARC in normal human serum donors. Serum of ten individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean TARC concentration of detected samples was determined to be 7.28 pg/mL with a range of undetected – 12.6 pg/mL.

Human TARC (CCL17) ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab325909) is a rapid single-wash sandwich 55-min ELISA to measure Human TARC (CCL17) in Serum, Plasma – Citrate, Plasma – EDTA, Cell Culture Supernatant with a sensitivity of 0.3 pg/mL.

How the assay works

Human TARC (CCL17) ELISA Kit, Chemiluminescent (ab325909) SimpleStep Ignite™ ELISA employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step during a 30 min only incubation, significantly reducing assay time. By utilizing a chemiluminscent detection method this improves the sensitivity and dynamic range when compared to traditional colorimetric ELISAs.

Target data

Chemokine, which displays chemotactic activity for T lymphocytes, preferentially Th2 cells, but not monocytes or granulocytes. Therefore plays an important role in a wide range of inflammatory and immunological processes (PubMed : 8702936, PubMed : 9169480). Acts by binding to CCR4 at T-cell surface (PubMed : 10540332, PubMed : 9169480). Mediates GM-CSF/CSF2-driven pain and inflammation (PubMed : 27525438). In the brain, required to maintain the typical, highly branched morphology of hippocampal microglia under homeostatic conditions. May be important for the appropriate adaptation of microglial morphology and synaptic plasticity to acute lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation (By similarity). Plays a role in wound healing, mainly by inducing fibroblast migration into the wound (By similarity).
