Recombinant TRAF1 was spiked into the following human samples and diluted in a 2-fold dilution series in Sample Diluent NS. Undiluted samples are 50% serum, plasma (EDTA), plasma (citrate), and plasma (heparin). The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2).

Serum of ten individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate at 50%. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean TRAF1 concentration of detected samples was determined to be 27.4 pg/mL with a range of undetected – 55.13 pg/mL.

Human TRAF1 SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of TRAF1 protein in Serum, EDTA Plasma, Cit Plasma, Hep Plasma. Quantitate Human TRAF1 with 5.396 pg/ml sensitivity.

TRAF1 or TNF Receptor Associated Factor 1 is a protein involved in signal transduction from various receptors including TNFR2 (tumor necrosis factor receptor 2). TRAF1 has a molecular mass of approximately 50 kDa. This protein is found mostly in the cytoplasm and functions as an adapter molecule. It helps to mediate signal transduction by interacting with receptor-associated signaling complexes. It does not have an intrinsic catalytic domain. TRAF1 expression is most prevalent in immune cells such as lymphocytes.
Biological function summary

TRAF1 plays a role in immune response regulation functioning as part of a larger TRAF protein complex that includes TRAF2 and TRAF3.
