Sandwich ELISA - Human Trypsin 1 ELISA Kit (AB317772)
Interpolated concentrations of Trypsin 1 in normal human serum donors. Serum of ten individual healthy human female donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean Trypsin 1 concentration was determined to be 93.5 ng/mL with a range of 29.6 – 173.4 ng/mL.

Sandwich ELISA - Human Trypsin 1 ELISA Kit (AB317772)
Interpolated concentrations of human Trypsin 1 in serum in 96-well vs. 384-well plates. Interpolated concentration of native Trypsin 1 was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations in 96-well vs. 384-well plates. Undiluted samples are 1 : 20 serum. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values (to neat sample) are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Product details
Human Trypsin 1 SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Trypsin 1 protein in Serum, Cit Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Hep Plasma, Cell culture media. Quantitate Human Trypsin 1 with 48.227 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
-Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
-High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
-Fully validated in biological samples
-96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips, available in 10-pack (10 x 96-well plates)
-Also available in a fully validated 384-well format.

Biological function summary
Trypsin breaks down proteins into smaller peptides facilitating digestion. It is not part of a complex but interacts with other pancreatic enzymes like chymotrypsin and elastase. Trypsin also plays a regulatory role in activating other zymogens like procarboxypeptidase and chymotrypsinogen essential in the complete protein digestion process.
Pathways
The catalytic actions of trypsin are integral to the digestive pathway in the gastrointestinal tract. It ensures the efficient breakdown and absorption of nutrients. In the trypsin activation pathway it activates other proteases which are significant for protein catabolism. This enzyme collaborates closely with anti-trypsin inhibitors that regulate its activity preventing autodigestion and maintaining homeostasis.
