Interpolated concentrations of native uPAR in human serum and plasma samples.

The concentrations of uPAR were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the uPAR standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 50%, plasma (citrate) 50%, plasma (EDTA) 50% and plasma (heparin) 25%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean uPAR concentration was determined to be 5.34 ng/mL in serum, 4.30 ng/mL in plasma (citrate), 3.41 ng/mL in plasma (EDTA), and 4.81 ng/mL in plasma (heparin).

The concentrations of uPAR were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the uPAR standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : urine 10% and stimulated PBMC supernatant 25%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean uPAR concentration was determined to be 12.68 ng/mL in urine and 6.32 ng/mL in stimulated PBMC supernatant.

Human uPAR ELISA Kit (ab246549) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of uPAR protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, serum, and urine. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human uPAR with 21.7 pg/ml sensitivity.

SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:

- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less

Target data

Acts as a receptor for urokinase plasminogen activator (PubMed : 15677461). Plays a role in localizing and promoting plasmin formation. Mediates the proteolysis-independent signal transduction activation effects of U-PA. It is subject to negative-feedback regulation by U-PA which cleaves it into an inactive form.
