Interpolated concentrations of human VEGF R1 in HUVEC cell culture supernatant and saliva.
Interpolated concentration of native VEGF R1 was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : HUVEC cell culture supernatant 25% and saliva 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in Sample Diluent NS.

Interpolated concentrations of VEGF R1 in normal human serum donors.
Serum of six individual healthy human donors was measured in duplicate. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +- SD, n=2). The mean VEGF R1 concentration was determined to be 528 pg/mL with a range of 373 – 924 pg/mL.

Human VEGF R1 (FLT1) ELISA Kit (ab289705) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of Human VEGF R1 (FLT1) in serum, plasma (heparin), plasma (EDTA), plasma (citrate), cell culture supernatant, saliva, and urine samples. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Human VEGF R1 (FLT1) with 53.86 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Biological function summary
FLT-1 mediates important cellular responses such as cell migration and proliferation. Although it often functions in conjunction with other receptors like VEGFR-2 FLT-1 has unique binding affinities that modulate the availability of VEGF for other receptors. FLT-1 proteins as part of complex signaling networks actively contribute to maintaining vascular homeostasis and regulating blood vessel permeability.
Pathways
FLT-1 is an important component in the VEGF signaling pathway and also part of the PlGF/VEGF pathway. The receptor serves as a decoy to regulate the amount of VEGF interaction with VEGFR-2 influencing endothelial cell function and vascular permeability. By sequestering VEGF FLT-1 helps maintain the balance in this angiogenic signaling network interacting with proteins like VEGF PlGF and the anti-VEGF agents that target these pathways.
