Sandwich ELISA - Mouse CD27 ELISA Kit (AB233619)
Interpolated concentrations of native CD27 in mouse EL4-IL2 cell culture supernatant samples, both untreated and treated with 10 µg/ml PHA and 10 ng/ml PMA for two days.
The concentrations of CD27 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CD27 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : untreated EL4-IL2 supernatant 100% and treated EL4-IL2 supernatant 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CD27 concentration was determined to be 426 pg/mL in untreated EL4-IL2 supernatant and 1,978 pg/ml in treated EL4-IL2 supernatant.

Sandwich ELISA - Mouse CD27 ELISA Kit (AB233619)
Interpolated concentrations of native CD27 in mouse serum and plasma.
The concentrations of CD27 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the CD27 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 12.5%, plasma (citrate) 12.5%, plasma (heparin) 12.5%, and plasma (EDTA) 12.5%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean CD27 concentration was determined to be 14.3 ng/mL in serum, 11.9 ng/mL in plasma (citrate), 13.4 g/ml in plasma (heparin), and 10.8 ng/ml in plasma (EDTA).

Product details
Mouse CD27 ELISA Kit (ab233619) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of CD27 protein in cell culture supernatant, cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, and serum. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse CD27 with 10.9 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.

Biological function summary
One finds CD27 at the heart of cellular immune responses. It does not function alone; instead it typically forms part of a receptor-ligand complex with CD70 which influences T cell and B cell activities. This interaction promotes cell survival and plays a role in the activation of NF-kB and MAPK8/JNK signaling pathways which are essential for immune response regulation. These pathways ensure that the body's immune cells can efficiently respond to pathogens.
Pathways
CD27 actively integrates into the NF-kB and mTOR signaling pathways which are important for regulating immune and inflammatory responses. Through these pathways CD27 works closely with proteins like TRAF2 and TRAF3 which are adapter molecules that transmit signals from the receptor. These signaling pathways provide a framework for understanding how CD27 and associated proteins work together to control immune cell behavior facilitating coordinated immune defense mechanisms.
