Mouse IgE ELISA Kit- Extracellular is a single-wash 90-min Simplestep used to quantify Mouse IgE with a sensitivity of 7.263 pg/ml. The assay uses a simple mix-wash-read protocol with just one incubation and one wash step.

Interpolated concentration of native IgE was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : rat serum 5%, plasma (EDTA) 6.25%, plasma citrate) 5%, and plasma (heparin) 5%. Interpolated concentrations of IgE in normal mouse serum donors. Serum of six individual healthy female mouse donors was measured in duplicate. Donors #1-2 were C57BL/6, donors #3-4 were CD-1, and donors #5-6 were BALB/c. Interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean IgE concentration was determined to be 52.1 ng/mL with a range of 28.8 - 78.6 ng/mL.

Mouse IgE SimpleStep ELISA® kit is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of IgE protein in Serum, Cit Plasma, EDTA Plasma, Hep Plasma. Quantitate Mouse IgE with 7.263 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Biological function summary
The IgE protein functions as a mediator in allergic reactions. It does not operate as part of a complex but directly interacts with allergens and the IgE-specific receptors on immune cells. IgE's role is important in defense against parasitic infections where it performs a protective function by promoting eosinophil activation and degranulation. This action helps the body to expel the parasites. In the absence of parasitic infection IgE's function translates into its role in allergic responses where it becomes responsible for the symptoms associated with allergic diseases.
Pathways
IgE is an important player in the immune response pathway. The protein interacts with allergy-related pathways such as the T helper 2 (Th2) pathway. IgE's role in this pathway involves cooperation with cytokines notably IL-4 and IL-13 which are produced by Th2 cells and promote IgE synthesis in B cells. Also IgE is linked to the FcεRI receptor signaling pathway that initiates the release of histamines and other mediators when IgE binds to an allergen leading to an allergic response.
