Product details

Mouse Limitin ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative determination of Limitin in cell culture supernatants, plasma and serum samples.

Δ Note: Mouse Limitin concentration is low in normal serum/plasma and may not be detectable in this assay.

This assay employs an antibody specific for mouse Limitin coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and Limitin present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse Limitin antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Limitin bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

This ELISA kit shows no cross-reactivity with the following cytokines tested: Mouse BAFF R, Betacellulin (BTC), C5a, CCL6, CD48 (SLAMF2), CD6, CD80 (B7-1), Chemerin, Clusterin, Cystatin C, DAN, DLL4, EDAR, Endocan, Fetuin A, H60, IL-33 (IL-1 F11), IL-7 R alpha, Kremen-1, Lipocalin-2 (NGAL), LOX-1, Lungkine (CXCL15), Marapsin, MBL-2, Meteorin, Nope, NOV (CCN3), Osteoactivin (GPNMB), OX40 Ligand, P-Cadherin, Periostin, PlGF 2, Progranulin, Prostasin, Renin 1, Testican 3, TIM-1 (KIM-1), TRAIL (TNFSF10), Tryptase epsilon.

Target data

Has antiviral and antiproliferative activities (PubMed : 15254193). Produced by macrophages and stimulates the production of two enzymes : a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase (By similarity). During viral infection, mediates antiviral effect, either directly by inducing interferon-stimulated genes, either indirectly through stimulation of natural killer cells enabling them to control viral replication (PubMed : 22912583).
