Product details
Abcam's MIP3 beta Mouse ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse MIP-3- beta in serum, plasma and cell culture supernatants.
This assay employs an antibody specific for mouse MIP3 beta coated on a 96- well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and MIP3 beta present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-mouse MIP3 beta antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MIP3 beta bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.

Biological function summary
MIP-3 beta helps direct cell trafficking within the lymphoid organs. It is not part of a complex but its interaction with the CCR7 receptor is essential for its biological activity. This binding plays a role in the development of secondary lymphoid organs and immune surveillance. Furthermore MIP-3 beta supports the homing of immune cells to appropriate locations impacting both innate and adaptive immune responses.
Pathways
MIP-3 beta is associated with the chemokine signaling pathway and the immune system pathway. Through these pathways it interacts with proteins like CCR7 and other chemokines that regulate leukocyte migration and activation. These pathways ensure local and systemic immune responses are efficiently orchestrated impacting inflammation and immune regulation.
