Mouse Synapsin I ELISA Kit is a single-wash 90-min Simplestep used to quantify Mouse Synapsin I with a sensitivity of 39.57pg/ml. The assay uses a simple mix-wash-read protocol with just one incubation and one wash step.

Interpolated concentration of native Synapsin I was measured in duplicate at different sample concentrations. Undiluted samples are as follows : mouse Neuro-2a cell extract 5,000 ng/mL, mouse brain cortex tissue extract 1,000 ng/mL, and rat brain cortex tissue extract 300 ng/mL. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). Sample dilutions are made in 1X Cell Extraction Buffer SSW.

How the assay works

Mouse Synapsin I ELISA Kit (ab325458) SimpleStep ELISA® employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. Target data

Neuronal phosphoprotein that coats synaptic vesicles, and binds to the cytoskeleton. Acts as a regulator of synaptic vesicles trafficking, involved in the control of neurotransmitter release at the pre-synaptic terminal (By similarity). Also involved in the regulation of axon outgrowth and synaptogenesis (PubMed : 7568107). The complex formed with NOS1 and CAPON proteins is necessary for specific nitric-oxide functions at a presynaptic level (By similarity).
