Interpolated concentrations of native FSTL1 in rat serum and plasmas samples.
The concentrations of FSTL1 were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the FSTL1 standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 5%, plasma (EDTA) 5%, plasma (citrate) 2.5%, plasma (heparin) 2.5% and urine 50%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean FSTL1 concentration was determined to be 36,218 pg/mL in serum, 72,246 pg/mL in plasma (EDTA), 58,994 pg/mL in plasma (citrate), and 75,205 pg/mL in plasma (heparin).

The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean FSTL1 concentration was determined to be 4,662 pg/mL in urine.

Rat FSTL1 ELISA Kit (ab246546) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of FSTL1 protein in cit plasma, edta plasma, hep plasma, serum, and urine. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Rat FSTL1 with 24 pg/ml sensitivity.

Biological function summary
FSTL1 serves as a modulator in inflammatory and developmental processes. It is a part of a complex that regulates immune responses and cell growth. The protein has been shown to affect the activity of multiple growth factors including Bone Morphogenetic Proteins (BMPs) revealing its regulatory capacity in tissue development and repair. FSTL1 can influence cell differentiation proliferation and survival highlighting its significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis.
Pathways
FSTL1 has important roles in the regulation of the BMP signaling and Wnt pathways. In the BMP pathway FSTL1 interacts with other signaling molecules to modulate pathway intensity and cellular outcomes. The protein links with BMP proteins to influence processes like bone formation and tissue repair. In the Wnt pathway FSTL1 can modulate key interactions that affect cellular proliferation and development. Through these pathways FSTL1 also relates to proteins such as TGF-beta which participate in various cellular processes.
