Product details

Abcam's IL-4 Rat in vitro ELISA Set is designed for the quantitative measurement of Rat IL-4 in cell culture supernatants, buffered solutions, serum, plasma and other body fluids.

The rat IL-4 ELISA Set includes both the capture and the detection antibodies as well as Horse-Radish peroxidase conjugated Streptavidin (HRP-Strep) and TMB which are the reagents used in the colour development step.

This ELISA Set is intended to measure rat IL-4 in cell -culture supernatants, as well as in serum samples. The enclosed procedures provide general guidelines for ELISA preparation. This procedure may need some optimization depending on the plastic, matrix, standard range.

Recognizes both natural and recombinant Rat IL-4 Range: 31.25 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml Sensitivity < 15 pg/ml

Target data

Participates in at least several B-cell activation processes as well as of other cell types. It is a costimulator of DNA-synthesis. It induces the expression of class II MHC molecules on resting B-cells. It enhances both secretion and cell surface expression of IgE and IgG1. It also regulates the expression of the low affinity Fc receptor for IgE (CD23) on both lymphocytes and monocytes. Positively regulates IL31RA expression in macrophages. Stimulates autophagy in dendritic cells by interfering with mTORC1 signaling and through the induction of RUFY4.
