Human Oncostatin M Matched Antibody Pair Kits include a capture and a biotinylated detector antibody pair, along with a calibrated protein standard, suitable for sandwich ELISA. The Matched Antibody Pair Kit can be used to quantify native and recombinant human Oncostatin M.Optimization of the kit reagents to sample type, immunoassay format or instrumentation may be required. Oncostatin M (OSM) also known as Oncostatin M protein or OSM protein is a cytokine with significant roles in inflammation and hematopoiesis. This protein weighs around 28 kDa and is expressed mainly in activated T cells monocytes and macrophages. Growth regulator. Inhibits the proliferation of a number of tumor cell lines. Stimulates proliferation of AIDS-KS cells. It regulates cytokine production, including IL-6, G-CSF and GM-CSF from endothelial cells. Uses both type I OSM receptor (heterodimers composed of LIFR and IL6ST) and type II OSM receptor (heterodimers composed of OSMR and IL6ST). Involved in the maturation of fetal hepatocytes, thereby promoting liver development and regeneration (By similarity).
