Immunoprecipitation - Anti-14-3-3 eta/YWHAH antibody [EPR16750] - BSA and Azide free (AB251443)
This data was developed using ab206292, the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation.Negative control : 14-3-3 eta/YWHAH was immunoprecipitated from 1mg of Human brain whole cell lysate with ab206292 at 1/20 dilution. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab137106 (which is specific to 14-3-3 gamma) at 1/1000 dilution. Anti-Rabbit IgG (HRP), specific to the non-reduced form of IgG, was used as secondary antibody at 1/1500 dilution.
Lane 1 : Human brain whole cell lysate 10ug (Input). Lane 2 : ab206292 IP in Human brain whole cell lysate. Lane 3 : Rabbit monoclonal IgG (ab172730) instead of ab206292 in Human brain whole cell lysate.
Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST.
Exposure time : 30 seconds.

ab251443 is the carrier-free version of ab206292.
Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free batch production
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Biological function summary
The 14-3-3 eta protein interacts with diverse intracellular proteins forming various complexes that influence cellular functions. It plays a pivotal role in cellular stress responses and the regulation of several metabolic processes. The protein modulates activity by altering the localization of target proteins or masking their phosphorylation sites which affects their function and stability. This regulatory capacity emphasizes the protein's impact on cell survival and metabolism.
Pathways
The 14-3-3 eta protein integrates into key signaling networks such as the MAPK/ERK and PI3K/AKT pathways. These pathways are essential in mediating processes like cell proliferation differentiation and survival. Within these pathways 14-3-3 eta functions alongside proteins like RAF1 and AKT1 coordinating cellular responses to external stimuli. Its involvement in these pathways highlights the adaptability and versatile roles it plays in cellular signaling and homeostasis.
