The AKAP-associated Sperm Protein also known as ROPN1L functions as a regulatory protein in spermatozoa. As a member of the A-kinase anchoring proteins (AKAPs) family it binds to protein kinase A (PKA) thereby localizing it to specific subcellular compartments.
