Aldehyde dehydrogenase 3 family member B2 (ALDH3B2) is an enzyme that plays a significant role in the metabolism of aldehydes. This enzyme often referred to by its alternate name ALDH10 facilitates the oxidation of aldehydes into carboxylic acids an important detoxification process. ALDH3B2 has a molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. Researchers have found its expression primarily in the liver and to a lesser extent in the kidney where it contributes to the breakdown of aldehyde substrates.
