Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Alexa Fluor® 568 Anti-CNPase antibody [11-5B] (AB313959)

ab313959 staining CNPase in mouse primary neurons DIV14. The cells were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde (10 min), permeabilized with 0.1% PBS-Tween for 5 minutes and then blocked with 1% BSA/10% normal goat serum/0.3M glycine in 0.1% PBS-Tween for 1 hr. The cells were then incubated overnight at 4°C with ab313959 at 0.2 µg/ml and ab195887, Mouse Alexa Fluor® 488 Anti-alpha Tubulin antibody [DM1A] - Microtubule Marker at 1/250 dilution. Nuclear DNA was labelled with DAPI (shown in blue). Image was acquired with a confocal microscope (Leica-Microsystems TCS SP8) and a single confocal section is shown.

Target data

Myelin-associated enzyme that catalyzes the phosphodiester hydrolysis of 2',3'-cyclic nucleotides to 2'-nucleotides. In the mitochondria, regulates the functioning of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore (mPTP), and thus is involved in the mechanisms of cell death, both apoptosis and necrosis. Acts as an antiviral factor by suppressing the assembly of SARS-CoV-2 virions (PubMed : 38117830).. Acts as an antiviral factor by suppressing the assembly of HIV-1 virions through direct interaction with GAG.
