ANKRD23 also known as Ankyrin Repeat Domain-containing protein 23 is a protein that plays a significant role in cellular processes through mechanical interactions. It weighs approximately 34 kDa. ANKRD23 is expressed in various tissues with a notable presence in the brain suggesting its involvement in neurological functions. This target belongs to the ankyrin repeat protein family recognized for specific protein-protein interactions that aid in maintaining cellular structure and signaling.
ANKRD23 acts as an adaptor protein facilitating interactions between other proteins and influencing signaling pathways. It is known to be part of protein complexes involved in the regulation of cell cycle and apoptotic processes.
