ANKRD28 also known as Ankyrin Repeat Domain 28 is a protein that contains several ankyrin repeat motifs which are known for mediating protein-protein interactions. It has a molecular mass of approximately 205 kDa. ANKRD28 is expressed in various tissues with higher expression observed in the brain and liver. The presence of ankyrin repeat motifs suggests that ANKRD28 plays a role in scaffolding or signaling facilitating the interaction between multiple proteins.

Involved in the PP6-mediated dephosphorylation of NFKBIE opposing its degradation in response to TNF-alpha. Selectively inhibits the phosphatase activity of PPP1C. Targets PPP1C to modulate HNRPK phosphorylation.
