It contains an AT-rich interaction domain and acts as a transcription factor. The mass of ARID3A is approximately 63 kDa. This protein is expressed in various tissues with notable expression in B lymphocytes. It plays a role in modulating gene expression by binding to specific DNA sequences.

Biological function summary

ARID3A regulates distinct processes in cell differentiation and development. This protein is essential for normal B cell development and function facilitating the transition of B cells through various stages of maturation.
