Product details

ab251424 is the carrier-free version of ab205302.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

ATHL1 also known as ATHL1 protein is a protein with a molecular weight of approximately 70 kDa. Known to be expressed largely in the human brain ATHL1 plays a role in various cellular functions. It is found distributed in other tissues as well but with lower levels noted. This protein interacts with cellular pathways and processes helping in the regulation of key molecular functions.
Biological function summary

ATHL1 engages with cytoskeletal elements and impact cellular structure and stability. It does not form part of a larger protein complex but acts through a collaborative network with other proteins. Its interactions support various cellular processes by influencing the components involved in maintaining cellular shape and integrity. ATHL1's role in these processes makes it an important element in the understanding of cellular dynamics.

Pathways

ATHL1 gets involved in the regulation of the MAPK/ERK pathway. It links with critical components like ERK1/2 affecting cell growth and survival. Another significant pathway involving ATHL1 is the Wnt signaling pathway. This pathway important for numerous developmental processes sees ATHL1 contributing to cellular signaling cascades that determine cell fate and proliferation.

ATHL1 has links to neurological conditions notably Alzheimer's disease. It potentially interacts with tau protein which is known for its role in neurodegenerative processes. Additionally ATHL1's involvement in cellular structural integrity suggests potential ties to cancer where disruptions in cell framework can lead to malignant transformations. Its connections with cytoskeletal proteins highlight ATHL1's role in disease mechanisms and offer avenues for therapeutic exploration.
