Supplier Data
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-Bcl 7A antibody [15C] (AB241550)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human tonsil tissue labeling Bcl 7A with ab241550 at 2.385 μg/ml, followed by Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (HRP polymer) (ab214879) ready to use. Nuclear staining on the tonsil is observed. Counter stained with hematoxylin.
Secondary antibody only control : Used PBS instead of primary antibody, secondary antibody Goat Anti-Mouse IgG H&L (HRP polymer) (ab214879) ready to use.
Heat mediated antigen retrieval using ab93684 (Tris/EDTA buffer, pH 9.0).
The section was incubated with ab241550 for 30 mins at room temperature.
The immunostaining staining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument

Biological function summary
Bcl 7A plays a role in apoptosis regulation affecting cell survival and death. It is part of a multiprotein complex and collaborates with other Bcl family members to maintain balance between cell survival and programmed cell death. The protein is necessary for proper lymphocyte development contributing to the immune response.
Pathways
Bcl 7A functions in the Wnt signaling pathway which is important for various developmental processes and cancer pathways. Bcl 7A interacts with other proteins like β-catenin facilitating the modulation of transcription of Wnt target genes. The protein’s involvement in apoptosis influences pathways important for maintaining cellular homeostasis.
