Immunohistochemical analysis of 4% PFA-fixed, 0.2% Triton X-100 permeabilized frozen Rat liver (fresh) tissue labeling BNP with ab309127 at 1/50 (10.48 ug/ml) dilution followed by ab150081 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) preadsorbed at 1/1000 2 ug/mL dilution (Green). Negative control : confocal image showing no staining on rat liver (PMID : 15576492). The nuclear counterstain was DAPI (Blue). The section was incubated with ab309127 for 60 mins at room temperature. The section was then mounted using Fluoromount®. The immunostaining was performed on a Leica Biosystems BOND® RX instrument. The image was taken with a confocal microscope (Leica-Microsystems, TCS SP8). The nuclear counterstain was DAPI (Blue). Brain natriuretic peptide 32. Cardiac hormone that plays a key role in mediating cardio-renal homeostasis (PubMed : 1672777, PubMed : 17372040, PubMed : 1914098, PubMed : 9458824). May also function as a paracrine antifibrotic factor in the heart (By similarity). Acts by specifically binding and stimulating NPR1 to produce cGMP, which in turn activates effector proteins that drive various biological responses (PubMed : 1672777, PubMed : 17349887, PubMed : 17372040, PubMed : 21098034, PubMed : 25339504, PubMed : 9458824).
