Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - Anti-c-IAP1 and c-IAP2 antibody (AB25939)
Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human lung tissue using ab25939 at 10 μg/ml. Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 10% serum for 1h at RT. Antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Samples were incubated with ab25939 overnight at 4°C. Goat anti-rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) was used as a secondary at 1/250 dilution. Counter stained with Hematoxylin.

Biological function summary
C-IAP1 and c-IAP2 contribute to cell survival by inhibiting apoptosis. They are part of a complex that interacts with other proteins and signaling molecules to regulate the apoptotic machinery. c-IAP1 and c-IAP2 interact with members of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-associated factors (TRAFs) family which helps suppress programmed cell death and support cell survival. By doing so they maintain cellular homeostasis and balance between life and death signals in various physiological contexts.
Pathways
C-IAP1 and c-IAP2 are key components in the NF-kB and MAPK signaling pathways. These pathways are important for immune response inflammation and cell survival. c-IAPs interact with TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1) and receptor-interacting protein kinases (RIPKs) modulating downstream effects that activate NF-kB which transcribes genes involved in immune and survival responses. This connectivity highlights the involvement of c-IAP1 and c-IAP2 in pivotal signaling frameworks that coordinate cellular responses under stress and external stimuli.
