Biological function summary
CELSR2 influences cell polarity and synaptic development. It plays a role in the planar cell polarity (PCP) signaling pathway. This protein is a part of large protein complexes that are responsible for regulating the orientation and spatial arrangement of cell structures. CELSR2 affects neuronal development and axonal guidance reflecting its significance in the complex neural networks.
Pathways
Research shows that CELSR2 is involved in PCP and Wnt signaling pathways. In these pathways CELSR2 interacts with key proteins such as Frizzled and Dishevelled. These interactions facilitate proper neighborhood cell function by modulating cytoskeletal arrangements and signal transduction processes that are necessary for effective communication and connectivity between cells.
