Bifunctional enzyme that catalyzes the fourth and fifth sequential steps of CoA biosynthetic pathway. The fourth reaction is catalyzed by the phosphopantetheine adenylyltransferase, coded by the coaD domain; the fifth reaction is catalyzed by the dephospho-CoA kinase, coded by the coaE domain. May act as a point of CoA biosynthesis regulation.

COASY was immunoprecipitated from Jurkat (human T cell leukemia cell line from peripheral blood) whole cell lysate (prepared using NETN lysis buffer; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) with ab226400 at 6 μg/mg lysate. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab226400 at 1 μg/ml.
Lane 1: ab226400 IP in Jurkat whole cell lysate.
Lane 2: Control IgG IP in Jurkat whole cell lysate.
Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 3 minutes.
All lanes: Immunoprecipitation - Anti-COASY antibody (ab226400)
Predicted band size: 62 kDa
