Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections) - Anti-Corin Antibody [RP23040188] (AB313414)

Immunofluorescent analysis of frozen rat heart tissue (atrium) fixed with 4% PFA for 20 min, permeabilized using 0.1% Triton X 100 for 10 mins and blocked for 1 hour with 2% BSA labeling Corin with ab313414 at 2 µg/mL dilution followed by Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, Alexa Fluor® 488 conjugate at 1/2000 dilution. Nuclei (blue) were stained using DAPI, and cytoskeletal F-actin (red) was stained using Rhodamine Phalloidin at 1/300 dilution. Panel a) represents staining with the matched isotype control. Panel b) shows a representative section stained for Corin (green). The images were captured at 20X magnification.

Product details

What are recombinant multiclonals?
Recombinant multiclonals are a mixture of recombinant antibodies co-expressed from a library of heavy and light chains. They offer several advantages including:

  • - The sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies by recognising multiple epitopes
  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

Target data

Serine-type endopeptidase involved in atrial natriuretic peptide (NPPA) and brain natriuretic peptide (NPPB) processing (PubMed : 10880574, PubMed : 20489134, PubMed : 21288900, PubMed : 21763278). Converts through proteolytic cleavage the non-functional propeptides NPPA and NPPB into their active hormones, ANP and BNP(1-32) respectively, thereby regulating blood pressure in the heart and promoting natriuresis, diuresis and vasodilation (PubMed : 10880574, PubMed : 20489134, PubMed : 21288900, PubMed : 21763278). Proteolytic cleavage of pro-NPPA also plays a role in female pregnancy by promoting trophoblast invasion and spiral artery remodeling in uterus (PubMed : 22437503). Also acts as a regulator of sodium reabsorption in kidney (By similarity).. Isoform 2. Has weaker endopeptidase activity compared to isoform 1.
