We have systematically measured KD (the equilibrium dissociation constant between the antibody and its antigen), of more than 840 recombinant antibodies to assess not only their individual KD values but also to see the average affinity of antibody. Based on the comparison with published literature values for mouse monoclonal antibodies, Recombinant antibodies appear to be on average 1-2 order of magnitude higher affinity.

Product details

ab248378 is the carrier-free version of ab131218.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Supplementary information

CPSF30 also known as Cleavage and Polyadenylation Specificity Factor subunit 30 is a protein involved in the cleavage and polyadenylation of pre-mRNA. It has a mass of about 30 kDa and performs its functions inside the cell nucleus. CPSF30 is expressed widely across various tissues enabling it to play multiple roles in RNA processing. Another notable alias for this protein is NAR (Nuclear Apoptosis Regulatory protein) which highlights its involvement in apoptotic processes.
Biological function summary

CPSF30 helps in mRNA processing by forming part of the CPSF complex. This complex is important for cutting and adding a poly-A tail to the 3' end of pre-mRNAs a step essential for mRNA stability export and translation. CPSF30 interacts directly with other CPSF subunits such as CPSF73 and CPSF100 enabling the PCAS endonuclease activity required for cleaving pre-mRNA. This activity facilitates proper gene expression regulation in response to different cellular conditions.

Pathways

CPSF30 is an integral part of the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. The protein participates in both the mRNA polyadenylation pathway and mRNA surveillance pathway ensuring accurate mRNA maturation and degradation of faulty mRNA. Through these pathways CPSF30 interacts with related proteins such as FIP1 and CSTF77 which assist in the precise control of gene expression by assuring proper RNA transcript modification and functionality.

CPSF30 involvement links to specific health conditions related to RNA processing defects and apoptosis. Disorders including certain types of cancer and autoimmune diseases have been associated with abnormalities in CPSF30 function. The CPSF complex's interaction with apoptotic regulators like BCL2L11 suggests its potential role in conditions where apoptosis is dysregulated. Understanding these interactions may offer insights into the mechanistic pathways contributing to these diseases providing potential targets for therapeutic intervention.

Target data

Component of the cleavage and polyadenylation specificity factor (CPSF) complex that play a key role in pre-mRNA 3'-end formation, recognizing the AAUAAA signal sequence and interacting with poly(A) polymerase and other factors to bring about cleavage and poly(A) addition. CPSF4 binds RNA polymers with a preference for poly(U).
