Immunoprecipitation - Anti-CTRP6 antibody [EPR25750-35] (AB300583)
CTRP6 was immunoprecipitated from 0.35 mg human placenta tissue lysate with ab300583 at 1/30 dilution (2 µg in 0.35mg lysates). Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab300583 at 1/1000 dilution. VeriBlot for IP secondary antibody (HRP)(ab131366) was used at 1/5000 dilution.
Blocking and dilution buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST.

Biological function summary
CTRP6 plays a significant role in modulating inflammatory responses and metabolism. It acts by influencing the secretion and activity of cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-alpha. Although not frequently noted as part of a multi-protein complex CTRP6 interacts closely with signaling molecules to achieve its functions. Studies suggest its involvement in maintaining metabolic balance and regulating insulin sensitivity key processes in various physiological states.
Pathways
It interacts with several metabolic and inflammatory signaling cascades. This protein mediates effects through pathways like the AMPK signaling pathway which plays an important role in energy balance and metabolic stress responses. CTRP6 is also linked to the TLR4 signaling pathway involved in immune activation and inflammation. These pathways involve interactions with various proteins such as AMPK and TLR4 receptors highlighting its integrative role in cell signaling networks.
