In the nervous system, could hydrolyze ATP and other nucleotides to regulate purinergic neurotransmission. Hydrolyzes ADP only to a marginal extent. The order of activity with different substrates is ATP > GTP > CTP = ITP > UTP >> ADP = UDP.

ab247934 is the carrier-free version of Anti-ENTPD2 antibody [EPR3885] ab110711.
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. The carrier-free buffer and high concentration allow for increased conjugation efficiency.
This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.
ENTPD2 also known as ectonucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase 2 or CD39L1 functions as an enzyme that hydrolyzes nucleoside triphosphates and diphosphates into their respective monophosphates while releasing inorganic phosphate. It has a molecular mass of approximately 61 kDa. This protein is expressed in many tissues with a notable presence in the human liver placenta and pancreas. Its expression on endothelial and epithelial cells suggests active involvement in vascular and surface barrier systems.
ENTPD2 participates in the regulation of extracellular nucleotide levels which influences various physiological processes. It works as part of the nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase family that controls purinergic signaling by degrading high-energy nucleotides. This regulation affects cellular activities such as proliferation and apoptosis. Its role is critical in modulating the availability of nucleotides for homeostatic and stress responses in the body.
ENTPD2 is involved in purinergic signaling and ATP metabolism pathways. These pathways are significant in maintaining cellular energy balance and facilitating communication between cells through signaling molecules like ATP and ADP. ENTPD2 has a functional interplay with other proteins like ENTPD1 and adenosine deaminase during these processes ensuring tight regulation of extracellular nucleotides and their products.
ENTPD2 shows associations with cancer particularly hepatocellular carcinoma and inflammatory diseases. It is an important player in cancer due to its ability to modulate the tumor microenvironment through purinergic signaling influencing tumor growth and metastasis. Inflammatory responses also connect to ENTPD2 activity where altered expression can contribute to chronic inflammation conditions. The protein's interaction with CD39 another member of the ectonucleotidase family highlights its important role in these pathological contexts.
