Immunofluorescent analysis of 4% Paraformaldehyde-fixed, 0.1% Tween-20 permeabilized 22Rv1 (human prostate carcinoma epithelial cell) cells labelling Eph receptor A3 with ab316014 at 1/100 (5.14 ug/ml) dilution, followed by ab150081 Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (Alexa Fluor® 488) preadsorbed antibody at 1/1000 (2 ug/mL) dilution (Green).

Dot blot analysis of Eph receptor A3 using ab316014 at 1 : 1000 (0.514 ug/ml) followed by a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, (H+L), Peroxidase conjugated (ab97051) at 1 : 100,000 dilution.
Exposure time : 180 seconds.
Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST.
This antibody does not cross-react with EPHA4 and EPHA5.

Biological function summary
EphA3 influences cellular organization movement and positioning through its involvement in contact-dependent signaling. It acts as part of a larger receptor-ligand complex which mediates bidirectional signaling between cells. This interaction generally leads to changes in the cytoskeleton impacting cell shape and locomotion. EphA3’s signaling can regulate developmental processes such as axon guidance angiogenesis and tissue boundary formation.
Pathways
EphA3 modulates various important signaling pathways such as the PI3K/AKT pathway and the Rho family GTPase pathway. It interacts with proteins like Ephrin-A5 and other Eph receptors coordinating complex cellular signaling networks. These interactions contribute to the regulation of cell proliferation survival and migration influencing tissue patterning and organ development.
