Competitive ELISA - Anti-Estrone antibody [EPPTX-R7-94-2] - BSA and Azide free (AB243564)
Goat anti-rabbit IgG was coated onto 96-wells. Serial dilution of Estrone-6 (0, 15, 30, 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2000pg/mL) was added (25μL). This was followed by adding of 50μL of HRP-conjugated Estrone and 2.0-2.5ng/mL ab241064 (50μL) into each well. Plates were incubated for 2 hours at room temperature by shaking. After washing, 125μL of Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate was added and incubated for 30 minutes without shaking for color development. Then 125μL of stopping solution (acid solution) was dispensed and OD was read at 450nm on a microplate reader within 5 minutes.

This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol, and sodium azide (ab241064).

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free batch production
For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.
Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.
Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.
Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Biological function summary
Estrogen hormones like estrone play significant roles in feminine reproductive health and secondary sexual characteristics. Estrone maintains a balance through conversion to and from other estrogens within the body. It does not function as a complex but influences biological processes such as cell proliferation and tissue growth particularly in reproductive organs. By interacting with cellular mechanisms estrone significantly impacts various physiological responses.
Pathways
Steroid hormones such as estrone integrate into metabolic and reproductive pathways. In the biosynthesis of steroids estrone converts from androstenedione or estradiol through enzymatic actions. The estrogen signaling pathway involves estrone and proteins such as estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and estrogen receptor beta (ERβ). ERα and ERβ modulate transcriptional activities in various estrogen-responsive genes.
