ETL sometimes referred to as ETL 500 or ETL Ziegler plays a mechanical role in cellular processes. This target has a molecular mass of approximately 50 kDa. ETL is widely expressed in various tissues and can be detected in both normal and pathogenic states showing particular abundance in organ-specific cells. It exists as a singular protein or engages in complex formations depending on its function and cellular location.
Biological function summary

ETL contributes significantly to the regulation of cellular transport mechanisms. It often functions as part of larger protein complexes associating with cellular structures involved in the trafficking of molecules within the cell. ETL’s interaction with these complexes facilitates intracellular movement and integrity influencing cellular responses to external signals.
