ChIP - Anti-FOXC2 antibody [RP23040265] - ChIP Grade (AB308055)
Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) was performed using 4 μg ab308055 on sheared chromatin from 2 million HeLa cells. Normal Rabbit IgG was used as a negative IP control. The purified DNA was analyzed by qPCR with PCR primer pairs over Promoters of MET, ANGPT2, ITGB3 (positive) and SAT2 satellite repeats (negative). Data is presented as fold enrichment of the antibody signal versus the negative control IgG using the comparative CT method.

Western blot - Anti-FOXC2 antibody [RP23040265] - ChIP Grade (AB308055)
Western blot analysis was performed on modified whole cell extracts (1% SDS) (30 µg lysate) of SW480 (Lane 1), Caco-2 (Lane 2) and HT-29 (Lane 3). The blot was probed with ab308055 at 1 : 500 dilution and detected by chemiluminescence using a Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) Secondary Antibody, HRP conjugate at 1 : 4000 dilution. A 60 kDa band corresponding to FOXC2 was observed across the cell lines tested.
All lanes:

What are recombinant multiclonals?
Recombinant multiclonals are a mixture of recombinant antibodies co-expressed from a library of heavy and light chains. They offer several advantages including:
- - The sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies by recognising multiple epitopes
- - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
- - Improved sensitivity and specificity
- - Long-term security of supply
- - Animal-free batch production

Biological function summary
This transcription factor plays a significant role in the development of the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. It functions as part of a complex network working with other transcription factors to control gene expression that governs vascular remodeling and lymphangiogenesis. Through its activity FOXC2 influences cell fate decisions impacting tissue formation and function during embryogenesis and adult life.
Pathways
FOXC2 participates notably in the TGF-beta signaling pathway. It interacts with SMAD family proteins to influence cellular responses to transforming growth factor-beta signals which are important for cellular proliferation and differentiation. FOXC2 also interfaces with other signaling pathways working in tandem with proteins like Notch and VEGF to modulate angiogenesis and vascular homeostasis.
